THE WORLD IS A BEAUTIFUL PLACE & I AM NO LONGER AFRAID TO DIE
The World is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die are an atmospheric emo / indie rock band from Willimantic, CT. The band was formed in 2009 and has undergone several lineup changes since it’s inception. TWIABP’s now 8 piece lineup writes the songs collaboratively and often on-the-spot with vocal duties shared by 4 members. The band’s sound is easily compared to second wave post-emo indie rock bands of the late 90’s and early 2000’s and their atmospheric moments are often tagged as “post-rock.” The band creates their dense textured sound with multi-layered and heavily effected guitars as well as synthesizer, cello, and trumpet. ”The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die speak to a universal experience: of home, of suburbia, of community, of nostalgia for a time not so long ago after all.

DONOVAN WOLFINGTON
Based in New Orleans, Donovan Wolfington began as two friends jamming (Neil Berthier and Matt Sefarian) after meeting and playing in other bands. The boys bonded over their mutual love of similar sounds and genres, and soon began bringing on other members to help them create a punk band. Savannah Saxton (backing vocals and keyboard), Christian Baraks (bass), and Chris Littlejohn (drums), all joined the band rounding out the original two of Neil (vocals and guitar) and Matt (guitar) to create Donovan Wolfington, a five piece punk/pop/nostalgia band.

We are extremely happy to announce that we have signed with 6131 Records and will be releasing a four-song EP, Pretty Good, this summer. We can’t even begin to thank everyone that has been along with us for this ride we call Dads but we can say that we can’t wait to see where else it takes us, especially with the new family we are growing into at 6131. Joey and Sean have made us feel like they are a great match for what we plan to do with our lives and more importantly, we felt as if they were lifelong friends upon meeting them and after talking for a couple minutes we could tell that they have a genuine interest and care about helping us be the best us we can be. We are excited to start unfolding some stuff; later on this month we will be releasing a new song from Pretty Good. Keep your eyes peeled and your ears open and welcome to the next chapter of our story! Thank you for still being a part of it.
